Participants
More than 100 participants included representatives of state and public administration, embassies, state implementing authorities, intergovernmental organizations, European agencies, non-governmental organisations, think-tanks, independent experts, academia and private sector representatives. Representatives of EMN National Contact Points from other EU Member States, Norway, Georgia and Moldova also participated in the seminar.
Public Events
On 24 August an online discussion How Slovakia helps migrants and refugees? took place. The discussion with experts on migration policies in Slovakia and about the assistance to vulnerable people around the world can be watched at the YouTube Channel of IOM Slovakia.
In the evening, a documentary Midnight Traveler, capturing an uncertain odyssey of Afghan director Hassan Fazili and his family during their multi-year journey to Europe, was screened in Kino Lumière in Bratislava.
On 25 August in Kino Lumière we introduced the Slovak premiere of the German film Gleis 11 (Track 11) telling stories of the first generation of guest workers in Germany. After the film a short (pre-recorded) interview with the director followed.
